Hosted by the Norwegian Scientific Academy for Polar Research (NVP) in collaboration with The University Centre in Svalbard (UNIS), the summer school offers a unique opportunity for academic and research development in one of the world’s most remarkable environments.

Twenty-one PhD students and postdoctoral researchers from ten countries gathered in Svalbard to explore the Arctic through lectures, fieldwork, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Participants explored Arctic tipping points, critical infrastructure, and geopolitics before applying their knowledge in a crisis management and conflict-resolution exercise.
